** November 4, 2018** - I am updating this page now to include a picture of a sign on the back side of the Vets Hall in Cambria California (and adding another picture below in December.) I got moved back to Cambria in August 2017 - something I am very, very grateful for, and that I talked about in June 2018 in my first Update Newsletter in over 6 years. A week or so ago, I stopped by the Cambria Farmers Market which is held in the parking lot of the Vets Hall. There was no parking available on the street so I ended up parking on the back side of the Vets Hall in front of the VFW. The sign points to the flood line from a flash flood that happened in Cambria on March 10th 1995. March 10th was a Friday night. On Sunday evening, March 12th I gave my talk Codependence: The Dance of Wounded Souls in that Vets Hall. The back side of the Vets hall is 5 or 6 feet lower than the front - so the main entrance and rooms in the Vets Hall weren’t flooded - but there was no electricity when I started my talk.
I had traveled from Taos New Mexico back to the Central Coast of California in the end of 1994 to try to raise the money to publish a book based upon the talk that I had first given in Cambria in June of 1991. To say that that trip was a leap of faith is an incredible understatement. This is the story of that incredible leap of faith and the miracles that occurred that allowed me to publish Codependence: The Dance of Wounded Souls in late 1995. I originally posted this story as part of an appeal for help keeping my book in print. I was able to keep my book in print that year, and in the years that followed by raising money from people who believed in my book and work. Starting in 2012, I was able to set up with a subsidiary of Amazon.com to have the book printed on demand by them - so thankfully no longer have to raise thousands of dollars for a print run. Here is what I wrote on this page in 2008.
“I posted this page on August 14, 2008 - the 20th anniversary of a very significant day in my Spiritual Adventure - as part of an appeal for help with keeping my book in print. I was able to keep my book in print - one of the miracles on my path.
As part of this appeal, I am adding a story from my Joy2MeU Journal that tells the story of the miracles that led to the publishing of Codependence: The Dance of Wounded Souls. My page Metaphysical Law: Giving and Receiving - Donations to the Cause / Love Offerings / Spiritual Tithes contains a short version of the publication of The Dance, but this is the long version complete with the details of how I was lead to write it and the miraculous journey that resulted in it’s publication. It is actually an excerpt from two installments of the story of my Spiritual Path / Recovery that I share in the Joy2MeU Journal - a series I call The Path of one Recovering Codependent ~ the dance of one wounded soul.
